I'll be honest with you -- It took me a while before I "got" affiliate marketing...

Why?

Now, it's easy to get distracted from all this. There's a lot of appeal to jumping on the latest hot internet marketing product and trying out the latest script, hack, and social technique. It's certainly more fun than turning the crank every day building out traffic for a small network. 

It's more fun, but not more money! Here's an example from a single network targeting a micro-niche:

I'm not trying to impress you with anything here. Again, this is a single network (a bunch of sites) and one affiliate program (Commission Junction) promoting this tiny niche that gets barely any traffic. The point here is that this is a steady income stream identified and running on autopilot. How? Using the Long Tail Cash approach.

Remember, there are no typical results. Your actual results will be different! But here's the thing - again, this is one tiny niche, one account, and one affiliate network.
